The city of Good Thunder will be switching to monthly utility billing beginning February 1, 2025. Due to monthly billing, we will no longer have the budget billing option. Monthly bills will be mailed out to residents within the first week of the month and will be due on the 20th of the month. We understand there will be a transition period as residents get used to paying monthly, therefore we will not be assessing a penalty for the first 2 months. Please contact city hall at 507-278-3730 if you are unable to pay your balance by the due date and we will work with you on a payment plan.

Good Thunder Water Dept has completed and submitted our service line materials inventory to the Minnesota Department of Health. The service line inventory is publicly available, and you can check the materials for your service line by visiting the Lead Inventory Tracking Tool (LITT) at https://maps.umn.edu/LSL/ you may also contact us at 507-278-3730.To complete the service line inventory our system inspected all service lines during installation of new water meters. As of 06/01/2024, our inventory contains 0 lead, 11 galvanized requiring replacement, 0 unknown material, and 233 non-lead service lines.
